When the Citation Agent's Corrections Hollow Out a Section

Your citation agent runs over a drafted report and, in the "buyer motivations" section (sub-question 4 of the worked example), finds that 6 of its 8 factual claims are not supported by the sources attached to them. Applying its allowed corrections, it re-links 2 claims to better-supporting sources from the gathered material, downgrades 2 to hedged language ("some survey respondents indicate..."), and flags 4 for removal. The section shrinks from two paragraphs to two sentences.

  1. Trace what this correction does to each of the three report metrics from Step 8, and explain the sense in which a Stage 3d correction can create a failure that Stage 3c had avoided. What should the final report do about that section?
  2. The 6 unsupported claims could have originated in the drafting call or in the sub-agent's research. Explain how the mix of corrections the citation agent applied (2 re-linked, 4 removed) is itself diagnostic of which stage is at fault.
  3. Should the citation agent be permitted to trigger a fresh search when no gathered source supports a claim? Argue both sides using the subject's stage boundaries and budget model, and state the bounded design you'd actually ship.
